Linkwood James Eadie Single Amontillado Sherry Cask #358018 Whisky (UK Exclusive) 14 Year Old · 2007 Vintage
Out of stock
There are only 263 cask strength bottlings of this fourteen year old expression from the Linkwood distillery. Considering this is in all respects a younger Whisky, it is surprisingly complex in its profile. There is a preliminary acidity on the nose, akin to unripe apricot and tart orange. This is balanced by aromas of freshly baked goods and sugared spice. The theme of confectionary continues on the palate in the form of chocolate digestives, along with red berries and a hint of beeswax.

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm mahogany undertone, a honeyed, sherry-toned glow.

Bright acidity on the nose, like unripe apricot and tart orange zest. Underneath, notes of freshly baked bread and sugared spice rise in harmony, weaving a delicate confectionery sweetness that hints at the sherry-cask influence and a refined, dessert-like warmth.
Palate
Confectionary character continues on the palate as chocolate digestives unfold with red berries and a hint of beeswax.
Finish
Long, refined finish with tart apricot and orange rind fading to cocoa-dusted chocolate digestives, red berry sweetness and a whisper of beeswax, finished by a gentle sugared spice that lingers.
