Lindores Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky ‘THIRON’ 2024 is the first in a series of annual releases that celebrate Lindores Abbey’s centuries- old ties to the French village and Abbey of Thiron- Gardais where the Tironensian monks came from, who laid down the spiritual foundations of Scotch Whisky. This bottling from Lindores Abbey Distillery has been matured in a combination of French Virgin Oak casks, Bourbon casks and red wine Barriques of exceptional quality developing a unique profile.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with a coppery, wine-washed glow and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
An inviting, mellow bouquet of vanilla cake and caramel syrup, woven with baking spices and a lush note of fruity plum jam.
Palate
Oaky vanilla and butterscotch lead, with plum jam and a spice duo of cinnamon and ginger weaving through the sweetness, accented by roasted chestnut notes. Silky on the palate, wonderfully balanced and complex, finishing with a warm, lingering glow.
Finish
Silky, long finish that carries warm oak, vanilla bean and butterscotch into a soft, lingering sweetness. Plum jam returns, joined by cinnamon and ginger spice, with roasted chestnut depth weaving through. Elegant, well-balanced and complex, leaving a dusky, refined finale with a kiss of red-wine tannin.
