Douglas Laing's "Xtra Old Particular" is a collection of some of the most rare single cask Scotch whiskies from some of Scotland's most acclaimed and celebrated distilleries, including some that are long-closed resulting in some truly exceptions, cask strength drams.
This 21 year old Laphroaig single malt whisky, bottled in 2021, is one of only 303 bottles aged exclusively in a refill Sherry butt.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a hint of mahogany, rich and inviting in the glass.
Nose
Sweet phenols mingle with dark stewed fruits, caramelised orange, damp bonfire ash and new leather.
Palate
Honey and burnt sugar fuse with chewy toffee, tempered by sea salt and a touch of brine. Smoked meat notes mingle with cracked pepper, delivering coastal smoke and a warm, cask-strength finish that lingers with Islay character.
Finish
Kiln-dried malted barley, sugary malt, mocha coffee and a West Coast of Islay oceanic quality.
