Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery-bronze highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Peat smoke and medicinal iodine surge from the glass, carried on a sea-salted breeze with ash-dusted oak. A delicate sherry-tinged sweetness—raisin, fig, vanilla—emerges softly, lending depth to a classic, mature Islay nose.
Palate
Dense peat and iodine mingle with sea-salted sweetness on the palate. Sherry influence coats the tongue with raisins, fig and dark chocolate, tempered by vanilla and toasted oak. A peppery, maritime spine carries through a long, warming finish, leaving smoke, spice and coastal nuance to linger.
Finish
An enduring peat-smoked finish braided with coastal iodine and sea salt. Subtle sherry sweetness threads through the smoke, leaving toasted almond, cocoa and mineral notes as the warmth slowly recedes, echoing a lingering maritime finish.
