Laphroaig The Wall Collection: Peat Single Malt Scotch Whisky 36 Year Old
Out of stock
The first release in Laphroaig's new Wall Collection is Peat, a 36-year-old which puts the very lifeblood of Laphroaig’s character front and centre. A limited release of only 200, each bottle is quite literally a work of art, hand painted by London illustrator Laura Carlin with the exact paint from the iconic Warehouse No.1.
The Wall Collection: Peat is a whisky with layers and layers of story to tell, and just a sip of it “takes you somewhere else”. Of course, Distillery Manager Barry MacAffer has already had the first sip.
A mix of classic Laphroaig, unique cask influence, and balance of tropical fruits, Barry agrees that it’s “a special dram for a special bottle” and recommends when tasting it to “expect the light fruits to come through. Let the smoke fill your mouth and up into your cheeks, with fruitiness dancing along the tongue”.
Maturation: Finished in a heavily peated cask to deliver an unusually smoky aged Laphroaig.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with coppery highlights and a burnished-gold glow.
Nose
Fruity with aromas of exotic passionfruit, strawberries, moist sultanas, intermingled with soft leather and sweet cinnamon spice.
Palate
A honeyed, sweet palate with zesty orange peel and pineapple notes, ribbons of runny honey and vanilla leading to custard tart, finishing with a delicate hint of marzipan.
Finish
Silky, sweet and smoothly spiced, the finish unfolds with citrusy orange, pineapple and vanilla honey, then settles into a quiet, enduring peat—smoky, maritime and unmistakably Laphroaig—as the glow lingers on and slowly fades.
