This single cask Scotch whisky was distilled at Laphroaig Distillery, on Islay, on the 22nd October 1990. The new spirit was filled into a Bourbon Barrel, cask number 81, where it remained until bottling in 2023.
A lovely deep amber in colour, the 32 years in cask have created a beautifuly rich liquid with warm honey, sea-weed spices and bonfire smoke. The mouthfeel is luscious and expansive with a long, satisfying finish. The colour of the whisky reflects only the natural impact from the cask during maturation.
This whisky was disgorged and bottled under the supervision of Andrew Symington the distillery manager on the 5th of October 2023.

Warm honey sweetness intertwined with seaweed spices and bonfire smoke, delivering a rich, maritime peat aroma that hints at decades in cask.
Palate
Lusciously full and slightly oily, it opens with honeyed sweetness blended with briny seaweed spice and medicinal peat, then layers of bonfire smoke and vanilla from the Bourbon cask. A long, expansive finish of ash, iodine and coastal minerals lingers in a maritime glow.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with warm honey sweetness that glides into seaweed-spice and bonfire smoke. Peat remains prominent, tapering to a saline, smoky echo that lingers with a refined coastal edge.
