Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with burnished copper and mahogany undertones, a warm honey-gold glow along the rim.
Nose
Towering peat and medicinal iodine rise from the glass, threaded with coastal brine. Rich sherry influence unfolds into dark fruit—fig, raisin—with cocoa, toasted oak and a touch of leather. A sly vanilla and toffee sweetness smooths the smoke, leaving a poised, age-darkened Islay perfume that speaks of monumental cask mastery.
Palate
Unfiltered, cask-strength peat opens with medicinal iodine and sea-salt, tempered by lush sherry sweetness. Dark plum and fig mingle with cacao and roasted almond, while a waxy oak spine carries peppery spice to a long, coastal finish.
Finish
An epic, lingering finish where peat smoke lingers with medicinal iodine and briny sea air, unfolding into rich sherry sweetness. Oak and spice cloak the palate as warmth abates, leaving a long, velvety, smoky echo that hints at rare, priceless depth.
