The Cairdeas Master Edition which was produce for the Islay festival 2010. Specially selected by master blender Robert Hicks, it's a blend of 50% 11 year old and 50/% a mixture of 15,17,& 19 year olds.

Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a warm, reddish-gold glow.
Nose
Peat smoke floods the nose with medicinal, iodine-brine depth, a maritime kiss of sea spray. Layered within, sherry-cask sweetness - vanilla, toffee, and dried fruit - emerges alongside leather and cocoa, rounded by a touch of ash and citrus zest.
Palate
Powerful, coastal peat and medicinal iodine lead the palate, tempered by rich sherry sweetness. Dried fruit, dark chocolate, and leather unfold beneath a peppery spine, while vanilla and toasted oak emerge from the center. Full-bodied, warm, and long, with a lingering smoky, saline finish.
Finish
Decisive maritime peat lingers, carried on a wave of iodine and smoke. Sherry-inflected sweetness surfaces—dried fruit, cacao and spice—before yielding to warm oak and a peppery bite. The finish is long, mineral and briny, with a subtle saline vanilla that gradually fades to smoky ash.
