Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery-bronze highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Deep, whispering peat smoke intertwines with sea-salt iodine and mineral brine, unveiling medicinal notes of bandages and seaside tar. An aged oak backbone lends vanilla, resin, and a subtle sweetness echoing dried fruit from its long maturation. Complex, velvety, and unmistakably Islay, it lingers with a refined, smoky finish.
Palate
Powerful peat and medicinal iodine envelop the palate, joined by sea-salt brightness and a gentle ashiness. Rich oak and vanilla unfold, with a whisper of toasted almond and a trace of sherry nuance. The finish is long, mineral, and spectrally smoky, echoing coastal winds.
Finish
Extremely long, peppery peat smoke fading slowly into brine and medicinal iodine; notes of vanilla and toasted oak linger as a warm, dry ash settles on the palate.
