Laphroaig 190th Anniversary Single Cask Whisky 19 Year Old · 1986 Vintage
Out of stock
Most probably one of the rarest and most sought after bottles for the serious Laphroaig collector. Just 175 bottles were drawn from this single cask and bottled for the Friends of Laphroaig to celebrate the 190th anniversary of this cult Islay distillery. We probably won't see another one of these bottles for a very very long time.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich, deep amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise with sea spray and coastal salt, a maritime heartbeat at the core. A sherry-influenced sweetness follows—raisin, fig and vanilla caramel—softened by toasted oak. Bold, coastal, and unmistakably Laphroaig, it invites slow, contemplative nosing.
Palate
Powerful maritime peat drives a medicinal, iodine-laced palate with briny sea spray. Sherried sweetness emerges as dried cherry, fig and cacao over deep, velvety oak. Spices curl through, delivering a long, peppery finish with lingering smoke and salt.
Finish
An exceptionally long, peaty finish that lingers with iodine and sea-salt, gradually unfolding into sherry-softened dark fruit, cocoa and toasted oak. A peppery maritime warmth persists, with gentle smoke and mineral brightness that slowly fades to a lingering ember.
