Loch Gorm is Kilchoman's annually released sherry matured limited edition. As the only release in the range to be fully matured in sherry casks (from filling to bottling), Loch Gorm has always attracted special attention from whisky fans, especially given that just 15,000 bottles will be released. This years release is a combination of twenty oloroso sherry butts from 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011, meaning that for the first time Loch Gorm will contain 12 and 13 year old whisky.
Imparting a combination of heavy sherry notes, spicy dark chocolate, rich fruits and burnt sugar. The sherry is balanced beautifully by the Kilchoman peat smoke and citrus fruits.

Colour
Rich deep amber with mahogany and ruby-copper reflections.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma floods the glass—ripe figs and raisins, burnt sugar, and dark chocolate, with hints of orange zest. A spine of Kilchoman peat weaves through, while citrus lift keeps the nose vibrant and balanced.
Palate
Opulent and velvety, the palate unfolds with burnt sugar, treacle and lashings of dark chocolate, wrapped around rich dried fruits. Oloroso sherry sweetness coats the tongue, while Kilchoman's peat provides a subtle smoky edge and citrus brightness. The finish lingers with warm spice and fruit, perfectly balanced and mouth-coating.
Finish
Long, warming finish dominated by rich sherry, with burnt sugar, dark chocolate and dried fruits lingering on the palate. Subtle peat smoke threads through citrus zest, leaving a bright, balanced sweetness that slowly tapers to a refined cocoa and oak echo.
