Tasting Notes
Colour
A deep, warm amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent, lacquered nose: dark plum and fig mingle with roasted coffee, cocoa nibs, and caramelized orange zest. Leather and cigar-box spice unfold to sandalwood and old oak, with wisps of incense. A subtle, refined smoke lingers, underpinned by resinous sweetness—promising a deep, luxurious palate to follow.
Palate
Luxurious and viscous on the palate, this cask-strength beauty travels from tropical fruit to deep, dark sweets. Ripe mango and pineapple mingle with dried apricot and orange zest, glazed by burnt sugar, honey and toffee. Spices erupt—vanilla, clove, cinnamon—backed by cedar and resinous oak. The texture is sumptuous, velvety yet razor-sharp, finishing long with warming spice and a whisper of cocoa.
Finish
Massive, lingering finish: peppery warmth unfurls into dark fruit, cocoa and spice, with cinnamon and clove accents. Oak-burnished sweetness softens to a polished, resinous glow, leaving a long, silky tail of graphite-mineral elegance and a faint kiss of smoke.
