Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and a burnished copper shimmer, a bronze glow hinting at age and oak.
Nose
Powerful, concentrated nose of dark fruit—plums and blackberries—woven with bittersweet chocolate and roasted espresso. A firm oak backbone lends structure, while wisps of vanilla, tobacco and cedar emerge. Intense and warming, it hints at the cask strength and the distillery’s closed, sea-wind character.
Palate
Powerful and concentrated, the palate delivers dark fruit—prune and blackberry—alongside cacao, espresso and a bold oak backbone. Rich and full-bodied, with syrupy depth that carries spice and toasted wood. The finish is long, dry and intensely warming, with lingering oak and espresso-kissed bitterness.
Finish
A long, dry finish that carries an intense warmth. Dark fruit and chocolate give way to espresso notes, all threaded with firm oak that lingers with a resolute, warming glow.
