A rare single cask release from the closed Karuizawa distillery, this 30 year old was distilled in 1985 and bottled from cask number #6432 at a powerful natural strength of 63.2% ABV.
The nose is rich and intense, with dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruits and polished oak.
On the palate, concentrated flavours of black cherry, treacle, bitter cocoa, roasted nuts and warming spice unfold, supported by firm oak structure.
The finish is long, dry and complex, with lingering sherry depth and mature wood.
