A rare single cask release from the closed Karuizawa distillery, this 30 year old was distilled in 1985 and bottled from cask number #3622 at a natural strength of 61.1% ABV. It reflects the powerful, sherry-driven style for which Karuizawa is renowned.
Aromas of dark chocolate, espresso, dried fruits and polished oak lead into a rich, concentrated palate of black cherry, treacle, bitter cocoa, roasted nuts and warming spice. The finish is long, dry and complex, with lingering sherry depth and mature wood.
