Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep mahogany with copper-gold shimmer and a rich amber core.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma with dark dried fruits—prune, fig, raisin—layered with treacle and burnt sugar. Rich cocoa and espresso mingle with polished oak, leather and tobacco. Spices—clove and cinnamon—weave through a resinous cedar note, lifting with a hint of orange zest for a deeply perfumed, concentrated bouquet.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this ex-sherry Karuizawa coats the palate with a dense tapestry of dried fig, raisin and date, lacquered with orange zest and dark chocolate. Rich cocoa, espresso and molasses mingle with leather, cedar and baking spices—cinnamon and clove. Velvety and layered, it delivers a long, warming finish of tobacco, oak and a final whisper of smoke.
Finish
Silken and deeply sherried, the finish unspools in a sustained, opulent thread. Dried fig and raisin linger with cacao, orange zest, and toasted spice, backed by elegant oak that smolders into velvet warmth. A long, contemplative fade that remains fruit-dark and refined, with a final whisper of leather and tobacco.
