Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark mahogany amber with burnished copper undertones and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Dark, opulent nose of lacquered wood and incense, lifted by ripe orchard fruits and citrus zest. Rich vanilla, honey, and toasty oak knit with spice—clove, ginger, white pepper—while coffee bean and cacao add depth. Subtle smoke, mineral pull, and aged leather emerge as a warm, saffron-sweet finish.
Palate
Massive, full-bodied palate, oily and mouth-coating. Rich dark fruit—fig, date, raisin—meets espresso bitterness and molten caramel. Spice rises: cinnamon, clove, pink pepper, set against lacquered-wood and leather. Oak resin and a whisper of tobacco deepen the profile, with the 60.4% ABV thrilling rather than overwhelming. Long, warming finish that lingers with fruit and spice.
Finish
Opulent and lingering, the finish unfolds in waves of lacquered fruit, dark chocolate and toasted oak. Dried fig and sultana ride a warm, spicy glow, with hints of tobacco and vanilla that slowly fade to cedar, incense and a gentle kiss of pepper.
