Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and a coppery, sun-warmed glow.
Nose
Opulent, cocoa-dusted aromas of dried fig, prune and raisin rise from the glass, mingling with caramelized orange and almond paste. Rich vanilla, toffee and spice spill from the American oak sherry butt, while leather, cedar and a hint of coffee deepen the warm, polished sweetness.
Palate
Opulent, velvety and full-bodied, this Karuizawa coats the palate with dried fruits—prune, fig, raisin—alongside dark chocolate, espresso and toffee. American oak sherry butt adds orange zest and cherry-vanilla sweetness with cocoa dust. Spices—cinnamon, clove and black pepper—flare then settle. A long, refined finish of leather, tobacco and subtle oak lingers.
Finish
Long, opulent finish of dried fig and date sweetness, braided with warming spice and toasted oak. Sherry-influenced fruit lingers, evolving into dark chocolate, espresso and a touch of leather, fading slowly with refined warmth and a lasting, signature Karuizawa grace.
