Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
Opulent and complex, the nose unfurls with dark orchard fruit and zesty citrus, braided by toasted oak and vanilla. A rich, resinous sweetness mingles with cinnamon and clove, while hints of leather and cocoa deepen the profile. Subtle maritime notes whisper through the aroma, underscoring an assertive cask‑strength presence and a long, inviting finish to come.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, this single malt unfurls with molten malt, dark toffee and fig, edged by dried plum and cocoa. Rich sherry-like fruit folds into black pepper, cinnamon and toasted oak, delivering a resinous, lacquered sweetness. The midpalate is velvety, then a long, warming finish of coffee, leather and cigars, with a gentle grip of tannin and a lingering ember of spice.
Finish
Long, warming finish unfurling with peppery spice and toasted oak, yielding caramelized fruit and a whisper of dark chocolate. Resinous depth lingers, leaving a silky warmth that fades to a refined, perfumed echo of spice and oak.
