A single cask Hanyu from Ichiro’s Malt “Card Series,” this Four of Hearts release was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2011 after 10 years of maturation in a Cognac cask. Bottled at 59.2% ABV, the release was limited to 361 bottles from the now-closed Hanyu distillery.
Cognac cask maturation adds rich fruit, gentle spice and rounded sweetness to Hanyu’s refined, fruit-forward spirit, complementing the distillery’s elegant character with layered depth. As part of the highly sought-after Card Series, it represents one of the scarce remaining bottlings from this silent Japanese distillery.
