Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm, luminous glow that hints at the sherry-driven richness within.
Nose
Opulent sherry aromas rise in a velvet cloak: dark fig and raisin mingle with orange zest and dried fruit, kissed by toffee. Rich vanilla and oak lend cedar and caramel, while cocoa and spice—nutmeg and clove—layer deeper complexity, with a subtle hint of leather finishing the fragrant tapestry.
Palate
Silky and luxurious on the palate, this 21-year Glenlivet unfolds a velvet procession of dried fig, orange peel, and cocoa. Sherry cask depth adds caramel, almond, and spice, while oak adds subtle tannin and structure. Creamy mid-palate leads to a long, refined finish of fruit, coffee notes, and a whisper of nostalgic sweetness.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with sherried depth; ripe dried fruit, orange zest, and toffee mingle with toasted oak, cinnamon and clove. The sweetness fades to cocoa and almond, leaving a warm, velvety ember that coats the palate and lingers with a refined, resinous finish.
