The aromas are big, fragrant and immediately malted. Honeyed and redolent of sweet shops and ice cream parlours. The palate is feisty with warming spices, gingery with a cinnamon twist ahead of its typical Speyside malt flair. Followed by a finish that neatly reflects the qualities of its palate.

Big, fragrant nose of malt and honey, instantly inviting. Sweet-shop and ice-cream parlour notes swirl with warm, sugary aromas—a rich, barley-forward bouquet that heralds indulgent sweetness.

Palate

Feisty on the palate, with warming spices and a lively ginger bite, crowned by a cinnamon twist that nods to its Speyside malt heritage. A structured, spicy core carries a touch of sweetness and a lingering, warming finish.

Finish

A long, warming finish of ginger and cinnamon spice that lingers, echoing the feisty palate and Speyside warmth.

(glen-AL-a-key) Built in 1967 near Aberlour, it spent much of its life producing whisky for blends rather than building a big name as a single malt in its own right. That changed in 2017, when Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson bought the distillery and began reshaping it around a more flavour-led, hands-on vision.
