A single cask Glenallachie that has been wholly matured in virgin american oak casks, which is rather unusual as the majority of scotch whiskies are matured (at least to start with) in used casks.
Quite bourbony on the nose, very oaky with caramel, honey, vanilla and polish. The palate delivers sweet and dry spice with some tropical fruit in the shape of banana and mango. The finish is bready, toasty and warming.
