Colour
Deep amber with mahogany undertones and coppery highlights, a warm, sherried glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry aroma with sun-dried raisins, figs and dates unfolding into syrupy treacle, orange zest and dark caramel. Hints of toffee and cocoa mingle with warm spice—cinnamon and clove—over a malt-forward, oak-backed frame, inviting and richly perfumed.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied on the palate, this single cask GlenAllachie drinks of Pedro Ximenez richness: dried prune, fig and raisin sweetness layered with dark toffee and molasses. The malt-forward base carries warm spice, vanilla, and cocoa nibs, framed by oak tannin. At cask strength it remains bold, the finish long, velvety, and fruit-laden, with lingering sweetness and a touch of char.
Finish
An opulent, long finish of sun-dried fruit and syrupy Pedro Ximenez sweetness that lingers with mounting warmth. Raisin and fig unfold over a core of malt and oak, spiking with gentle spice—cinnamon and clove—before fading to a softly cocoa-tinged velvet finish. Persistent, bold, and refined at cask strength.
