One of a number of single casks released by Glenallachie distillery at the end of 2018. This particular cask was matured for 12 years in a bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength. A tiny output from this cask, just 203 bottles were produced.
Lots of sweet green fruits, pear and quince, it's quite light and floral on the nose too. The palate shows more of that ripe pear flavour alongside more malt and barley character with sugar and sweet spice. The finish of this whisky is spicy with a touch of lingering sweetness.
