Tasting Notes
Colour
Burnished amber with a warm copper glow and honey-gold highlights, suggesting a rich, inviting depth.
Nose
Opulent sherried aromas rise from the glass: dark plum and fig, raisin and cocoa nibs, woven with orange zest, vanilla toffee and toasted almond. Subtle spice—clove and nutmeg—drifts through polished oak, finishing with a whisper of aromatic sweetness.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this Glen Ord coats the palate with sherried richness: ripe dried fruits, orange peel and cocoa weave with creamy vanilla. Cinnamon, clove and white pepper rise softly, supported by almond and a touch of oak. The 55.2% ABV lends a warming, lingering finish that suspends savoury spice and refined sweetness.
Finish
Long, warming and oak-driven, the finish unfurls with dark fruits, cocoa and toasted almond, carried by a gentle citrus zing. Spices—cinnamon and clove—linger as a velvet sweetness glides away, leaving a refined, enduring glow on the palate.
