Miltonduff Pure Single Malt Scotch Whisky (Old Bottling) (1 Litre) 12 Year Old
In stock
The Miltonduff Distillery was built in 1824, close to the site of ancient Pluscarden Abbey, where Benedictine monks once brewed renowned ales. Legend has it that an abbot kneeling on a stone invoked a blessing on the waters of the nearby Black Burn and, thereafter, the drink distilled from the was called 'Aqua Vitae'.
Clear water from this same burn is still used in making The Malt of Miltonduff along with the finest malting barley. Followed by patient maturation in oak casks for tweleve years, the result is a medium-bodied malt whisky, fragrant, almost floral and sweet on the nose with a clean and delicate flavour.
