Flora and Fauna, nicknamed by the late whisky writer, Michael Jackson, was a themed series of distillery only single malt whisky releases. Each distillery was given a particular creature as its symbol, which is elegantly displayed on each bottle's beautiful label.
Gradually as distilleries were commercialised, closed or sold, the range of Flora and Fauna contracted, leaving these select remaining bottles collectable. Most often blended, whisky from each of these distilleries is rarely bottled as single malt, making each bottle from this collection even more rare.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm sunlit gold with a coppery edge and honey-amber depths. A bronze glow lingers at the rim, hinting at sherry-matured richness and an inviting, refined warmth.

Soft, sunlit aromas of pear and apple mingle with honeyed malt, vanilla and almond. Delicate floral notes lift the sweetness, while light oak and spice provide balance. A whisper of sherry reveals dried fruit and toffee, adding depth and a refined, inviting nose that promises the elegance of Glen Elgin.
Palate
Silky and fruit-forward, this Glen Elgin sails on pears and apples with vanilla cream and almond. A whisper of sherry adds dried fruit, fig and cocoa, underpinning the sweetness with subtle oak spice. Creamy texture leads to a lingering, warming finish of cinnamon and citrus zest.
Finish
Silky, sherry-kissed finish; orchard fruits mingle with vanilla and toffee, then toasted almond and cocoa emerge. Warm spice lingers as dried fruit and oak fade slowly, leaving a soft, velvety sweetness that stretches long after the last sip.
