Colour

Dark amber with coppery glow and mahogany edges.

Nose

Cocoa powder and poached pear.

Palate

Ginger spice opens the palate, followed by roasted hazelnuts and milk chocolate, with ribbons of raspberry liquorice and a white pepper kick, all carried by rich sherry-influenced depth.

Finish

Full, luscious finish with bright strawberry fruit shining through the warmth of mature oak, slowly giving way to gentle spice and a lasting, refined timbered core.

Glen Elgin
(Glen-EL-gin) Glen Elgin is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery near Elgin in Moray, founded in 1898 by William Simpson, formerly manager at Glenfarclas, and James Carle. Production began in 1900, but the timing was difficult, as the Scotch whisky market was hit by the Pattison crash, and the distillery closed after only a few months. It later restarted under J.J. Blanche & Co before becoming part of Scottish Malt Distillers in 1930.
