Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with ruby-tinted edges and a warm copper glow, echoing the red wine cask finish.
Nose
Opulent red-wine aromas pour forth: ripe cherries and plums layered with blackberries, raisin and fig. Spices rise—cinnamon, clove, a kiss of nutmeg—over honeyed malt and vanilla. Velvet, wine-soaked oak wraps the nose, with a whisper of cocoa emerging as it opens. Rich, inviting and distinctly refined, a true expression of the red wine cask finish.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied on the palate, with plush dark fruit notes of blackberry and fig mingling with ripe plum from the red wine cask finish. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through polished oak, while a creamy sweetness and refined tannic grip lend structure. A long, warm finish lingers with fruit and spice.
Finish
Long and velvety, the finish is wine-kissed and generous, unfolding with dark berry and plum that linger beside warm spice and oak. Subtle tannins draw in vanilla and clove, leaving a polished, lingering ember of dried fruit and cinnamon on the palate.
