Limited Edition Deanston Single Malt from Distell's 2020 releases. Only the 3rd Organic whisky ever launched by Deanston and the 2nd Organic Limited Edition.
Made with organically sourced barley, the whisky spent the first 14 years in whisky refill casks. During the 3 years finishing, in PX it developed a delicious sweetness, with notes of caramel, maple syrup and sherry soaked raisins. Distilled on the 18th December 2002. Transferred into Organic PX Casks 5th of May 2016 This has been bottled un-chillfiltered and at a strength of 49.3% abv. A limited bottling of 3,102 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with rich mahogany tones and a lacquered copper-gold edge.
Nose
Very dry, with a faint sulphury edge that recedes to reveal sweet dried fruits—raisins and dates—underpinning a nuanced sherry warmth.
Palate
Sweet caramel and mouth-coating maple syrup mingle with mixed candied peel and sherry-soaked raisins, delivering a lush, dessert-like sweetness that lingers on the tongue.
Finish
Long, sweet finish that lingers, fading into honeyed cashews.
