An interesting wine cask release from Deanston as part of the 2020 Limited Edition series Pinot Noir finishes add a lovely delicate creaminess and subtle red fruit character to whiskies and this marries beautifully with the fruity character of Deanston's new make. With notes of vanilla, citrus and sweet white wine, the flavours are delivered with a fruity zestiness.
While not carrying the high age of some of the other releases, this is a great malt that might well fly under the radar.
