Dalmore turned up to 11! A fabulously sherried Highland Single Malt bottled at 54.6% ABV for added depth, texture and richness. Bottled under the Darkness range, which focuses on Sherry finishing This expression was matured for 16 years, including a period in a tiny Oloroso sherry octave cask, before being bottled. The small octave cask allows for more interaction between the wood and the whisky, due to the increased surface area to volume ratio, resulting in an abundance of sherried goodness imparted to the spirit.
This is rich with notes of chocolate, coffee, toffee and nuts. Luxurious, like liquid confectionary!

Dense mahogany-amber with burnished copper highlights, a deep, glassy chestnut that glows with inviting sherry richness.

Opulent, sherried nose pours dark chocolate and espresso, layered with toffee and roasted nuts. A rich Oloroso halo casts dried fruits, orange zest and warm spice over velvety oak, hinting at confectionary sweetness and luxurious depth to come.
Palate
On the palate, a luxuriant, full-bodied sherried depth: dark chocolate, espresso and toffee mingle with toasted almond and walnut, with hints of dried fruit. The 54.6% ABV lends opulent warmth, delivering a syrupy, velvety texture that coats the mouth and lingers with nutty, cocoa-dusted sweetness.
Finish
Long, velvety and richly sherried, this finish lingers with chocolate and dark espresso, softened by toffee and toasted nuts. The octave sherry influence threads warm spice and refined oak through the palate, leaving a confectionary-sweet, luxurious echo that lingers gracefully.
