Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a subtle mahogany edge, a sunset-bronze glow.
Nose
Dallas Dhu’s silent spirit reveals an opulent sherry bouquet: raisins, figs and dates with orange zest and toffee. Dark chocolate and cocoa nibs deepen the aroma, while vanilla-rich oak and a touch of nutmeg and clove add warmth. A whisper of leather threads through, finishing with refined sweetness and spice.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and richly sherried on the palate, with fig and raisin folded into treacle toffee and velvet oak. Spices fan out—clove, cinnamon and nutmeg—alongside roasted almond, dark chocolate and espresso. A nutty, creamy core gives way to a lingering, warming finish of dried fruit, leather and tobacco, underpinned by a gentle tannic lift.
Finish
Very long, luxuriously sherried finish where fig and raisin sweetness lingers over toasted oak. Spices, cinnamon and clove, ignite the palate and give way to dark chocolate and a whisper of tobacco. The generous 49.9% depth carries a velvety fade, leaving mature oak, polished fruit and a refined, resinous bitterness that invites another sip.
