Dallas Dhu (silent) First Cask #2602 Whisky 23 Year Old · 1974 Vintage
Out of stock
A long lost distillery with a difference as although it still exists as a building (it has been a whisky musuem since 1986) it has not produced any whisky since 1983.
A Speyside malt with a bakers dozen or so of official releases, this was released by Direct Wines in the 1990's from a single cask.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany glow.
Nose
Delicate yet sumptuous, this nose revels in sherry richness: raisin and fig lift with orange zest, beneath aged oak and vanilla. Notes of walnut, cocoa, cinnamon, and clove deepen into leather and a whisper of tobacco—an elegant, old-world Speyside aromatic tapestry.
Palate
Opulent and refined on the palate, this 23-year-old Dallas Dhu unfolds with rich dried fruit—fig and raisin—alongside orange zest and toffee, with a satin sherry kiss. Velvet mid-palate delivers dark chocolate, espresso and toasted almond, while oak contributes baking-spice and a whisper of smoke. A long, warming finish reveals cinnamon, nutmeg and a subtle resinous grip.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish of dried fig and raisin, backed by cocoa, toasted almond, and faint spice. Sherry sweetness slowly fades to a refined, oaken drydown, lingering with a final kiss of warmth.
