An eye catching rebrand for the Cu Bocan Single Malt whisky, peated distilate that is produced at the Tomatin distillery.

The Signature is a lightly peated malt whisky that has been matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, ex-oloroso Sherry and virgin American oak casks, and is said to contain ‘subtly smoky, surprisingly sweet’ notes of ‘rich citrus and exotic spices’.

This opens up the world of lightly peated whisky to those who want to try the more smokier malts.

Nose

Delicate peat smoke threads through a bright citrus core, with vanilla from bourbon and a kiss of sherry sweetness. Aromas of orange zest and lemon rind mingle with dried fruits, toasted spice, and a touch of coconut-vanilla oak, finishing in warm cloves and cinnamon.

(koo BOH-kan) Cù Bòcan is Tomatin’s lightly peated Highland single malt, launched in 2013 after the distillery recognised the quality of the peated spirit it had been producing for one week each year since 2005. Named after a ghost dog said to haunt the village of Tomatin, it is made with lightly peated Scottish barley and distilled every winter in limited batches, creating a style built around subtle smoke and balanced sweetness rather than heavy peat.
