Distillery Bottling

The perfect gift for whisky lovers containing a 70cl bottle of Cardhu Gold Reserve and two whisky tumblers to share it with. The crafting of Cardhu Gold Reserve pays tribute to their generous natures. Featuring hand-picked toasted oak casks, skilled maturation enriches the silky, smooth speyside character of Cardhu.

Rich and mellow, with warm notes of baked apple and toffee. A mouth-wateringly sweet malt whisky with a quietly spicy finish.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant gold with honeyed amber depth and a coppery glint.

Nose

A rich, mellow nose of baked apple and toffee, with subtle toasted oak. Silky sweetness rises gracefully, hinting at Cardhu’s gentle Speyside character.

Palate

Silky and mellow on the palate, with baked apple and toffee over a smooth malt core. Creamy texture coats the tongue as toasted oak provides a subtle, warming spice. A mouth-watering sweetness lingers into a quietly spicy, warmly tempered finish.

Finish

A quietly spicy, enduring finish that lingers with gentle warmth. The sweetness folds into soft oak and spice, leaving echoes of baked apple and toffee on the palate as the glow gradually fades.

Cardhu
(car-DOO) Cardhu is one of the oldest distilleries on Speyside. In its early days, Cardow/Cardhu was synonymous with the role of women in distilling; it is suggested that the Cardow farmer's wife, Helen Cumming was in charge of distillation in the early, unlicensed days of production.
