A new range of age stated whiskies released for this lesser spotted East Highland distillery and good additions to the standard and rather uninspiring Fior bottling.
The 12 year is wholly matured in ex-bourbon casks that give this whisky a fruity edge. Soft pear, vanilla and spice on the nose. The palate has a mixture of tropical fruit, light coffee and ginger flavours and has good texture without being too weighty.

Nose
Vanilla and pear mingle on the nose, with soft spices lending a warm, creamy undertone.
Palate
Refreshing nectarine and tropical fruit mingle with subtle roasted coffee, clove and ginger; a light to medium body with a texture that remains buoyant and not weighty.
Finish
Long and memorable, the finish folds in sultanas and black toffee, leaving a lingering dried-fruit sweetness and a gentle warmth.
