Every year since 2001, Diageo have released a series of Special Releases featuring rare, limited edition whiskies from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries. The 2021 Special Releases are the 20th set in this highly collectable series, and includes 8 Single Malt whiskies, bottled at cask strength, and released in limited quantities. The 2021 series has been titled “Legends Untold” and features striking illustrations and design work from digital illustrator Ken Taylor.
A harmonious and charming Cardhu that busts with vibrant floral, fruity, and honey aromas and flavours. The nose is elegant and floral with notes of white grape, lychee, and wild flower meadows. There is plenty of toffee / honey sweetness on the palate with Parma violet, ripe orchard fruits, and peppery spice on the finish.

Toffee and honey sweetness coats the palate, mingling with Parma violet and ripe orchard fruits. A peppery spice lingers on the finish, adding a bright, lingering warmth.

A long, warming finish where peppery spice lingers gracefully, leaving a kiss of honeyed sweetness and a faint floral violet echo.
