Arran Machrie Moor - 6th Edition Peated Single Malt Scotch Whisky
In stock
Part of Arran’s Machrie Moor series, this 6th Edition peated single malt was bottled in 2015 at 46% ABV after maturation in oak, with an outturn of 12,000 bottles. The Machrie Moor releases are named after the peat bog and ancient stone circles on the Isle of Arran, reflecting the distillery’s lightly peated style.
Gentle peat smoke sits alongside Arran’s naturally fresh, citrus-led and malty character, while oak maturation adds soft vanilla sweetness and spice. The result is a balanced expression where smoke complements rather than dominates the bright, coastal spirit.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Pale gold with sunlit honey hues.
Nose
Bright coastal aromas of citrus zest and malt, lifted by a gentle peat smoke. Oak brings vanilla sweetness and subtle spice, while a clean, saline edge keeps the nose lively, balanced and refined.
Palate
Soft peat smoke mingles with a bright, citrus-led malt backbone. Lightly creamy on the palate, with vanilla sweetness and gentle spice, underpinned by coastal brine. The balance lets the smoke kiss rather than dominate, finishing dry and fresh with a whisper of maritime warmth.
Finish
Lightly peated and brisk, the finish carries a whisper of smoke that lingers alongside citrus zest and soft vanilla from oak. Malt sweetness, gentle spice, and coastal salt dissolve slowly, leaving a clean, balanced, subtly warming encore that recalls Arran’s bright spirit with a smoky kiss.
