Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense copper-amber with mahogany undertones and a warm reddish-gold glow.
Nose
Sherry-cask warmth floods the nose, with ripe orchard fruit, dark raisins, and figs. Orange zest, toasted almond, vanilla, and toffee mingle, while hints of cocoa and coffee deepen the perfume. Spices of cinnamon and nutmeg, a touch of leather, and polished oak lend elegance and a sense of age to the aroma.
Palate
Silky and generous on the palate, honeyed orchard fruit—pear and red apple—layered with toasted almond and malt. Rich sherry influence yields dried apricot, fig and cocoa, supported by velvety oak. Full-bodied yet refined, with a warm spice from the high ABV. Long, luxurious finish of orange zest, caramel sweetness and lingering spice.
Finish
Silky, long finish with dark fruit, fig and cocoa, braided by warm sherry sweetness. Cinnamon and nutmeg trail through velvety oak, fading to a lingering caramel-mocha glow.
