Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant amber-gold, sunlit with honeyed highlights and a touch of copper at the rim.
Nose
Peat smoke and sea-air flood the nose, with iodine and saline notes sharpening the breeze. Vanilla and caramel sweetness from ex-bourbon cask threads through, while toasted oak, a hint of ash, and a peppery spine add depth. A bright citrus lift keeps it buoyant and maritime, balancing the Islay heft with refined warmth.
Palate
Coastal peat and smoke dominate the palate, delivering sea-salt brine, iodine and medicinal barley. Beneath, creamy vanilla and toasted oak from the ex-Bourbon cask mingle with lemon zest and subtle green apple notes. A peppery spice threads through, giving a lively bite that stays with you. The finish is long and maritime, echoing mineral depth with an enduring smoky sweetness.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with briny peat and gentle bourbon sweetness. Coastal salt and ash linger with citrus zest, then a peppery warmth that slowly fades into a clean, mineral, smoke-kissed echo.
