Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery warmth and a mahogany undertone.
Nose
Peat smoke swirls with rich Oloroso sherry, a coastal aroma of iodine and sea air. Dark treacle, fig and raisin unfold over toasted oak, while almonds and vanilla add depth. A whispered campfire char lends bold warmth to this maritime, full-bodied nose.
Palate
Peat smoke drives the palate in bold, oily waves, full-bodied and mouth-coating. Oloroso sherry adds luscious sweetness—raisin, fig, toasted almond and toffee—woven with dark chocolate and warm spice. Nutty, lightly saline, and with a long, ember-driven finish, the smoke lingers beside refined sherry sweetness.
Finish
Long, warming finish of peat smoke fused with rich Oloroso sweetness. The sherry-wrapped peat coats the palate, with dried fruit and spice lingering into a bold, full-bodied tail that slowly fades to a silky, ember-soft finish.
