A well aged Caol Ila from G&M. Matured in a Single refill American Oak hoghead for 17 years. Bottled at 57.6% ABV and one of 226 bottles. There has been a lovely balance and delicay with these Connoisseurs Choice Caol Ila's. The fruit, oak and smoke have been very harmonious so we have high hopes with this one.

Colour
Bright golden amber with warm honey undertones.
Nose
Fresh tropical fruit aromas—banana, melon and ripe kiwi—give way to toasted cereal notes that evolve into lemon and grapefruit zest, with a subtle hint of driftwood smoke.
Palate
Citric sharpness gives way to tart green apple with a touch of creamy vanilla. Cracked black pepper and oak mingle with gentle peat smoke.
Finish
Bright tropical fruits linger, tempered by abundant smoke, fading into a gently warming, smoky finish.
