The Distillers Editions are an annual release of the finest single malts, double-matured in batches using individually prepared casks that have held a specially selected fortified wine, chosen to complement the characteristics of each mature whisky. Colour
Warm amber-gold with a sunlit copper sheen.
Nose
Peat smoke and sea-air swirl with iodine and briny zest, opening to a refined sherry-fueled sweetness. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange peel, toffee and dark chocolate, while vanilla and gentle spice lend polish. A coastal, luxurious aroma: smoky, fruity and deeply refined.
Palate
Coastal peat and brine envelope the tongue, giving way to a voluptuous sherry-driven sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and cocoa unfold beside roasted almond, while vanilla curves through the middle. The smoke stays refined, with a subtle saline spine and peppery spice that lingers. A full, silky coat leads to a long, warm finish that echoes maritime aromas and dark fruit richness.
Finish
Long, smoky finish threaded with maritime brine and ash, softened by the wine-cask sweetness. Dried fruit, almond and vanilla drift in, then fade to citrus zest and coastal resin, leaving a warm, lingering echo of peat.
