Bruichladdich went into partnership with Ireland's Cooley distillery in a one off experiment to blend single malts from both distilleries or Celtic Nations. Unfortunately the Scotch Whisky Association quickly acted and banned the practice of mixing malts from different nationalities, thus making this limited bottling rather unique and probably unrepeatable.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright gold with honeyed warmth and a whisper of copper.
Nose
Aromas of peaty coastal smoke and sea-salt air mingle with rich sherry-tinged fruit—raisins, fig, and a touch of treacle. Vanilla and toasted oak weave in, while citrus zest and a saline mineral lift lend brightness to a maritime, lingering finish.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied with coastal sweetness. Subtle peat smoke and sea spray ride citrus zest and honeyed vanilla, while almond notes add lift. Sherry depth brings raisin and fig to the mid-palate, with cocoa, spice and oak rounding into a long, warm, softly chocolatey finish.
Finish
Silky, long finish where sherry-draped fruit lingers—raisins, fig and dark chocolate—interwoven with vanilla and almond sweetness and a coastal whisper of salt. Spices and oak gradually fade into a warm, cocoa-kissed glow, leaving a final echo of smoke.
