Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, sun-kissed amber with copper-gold edges and a honey-bronze glow.
Nose
Coastal peat greets the nose with creamy barley, vanilla and a soft brininess. Layers of Octomore’s smoke mingle with Port Charlotte’s bite, lifting a medicinal iodine note. Dried fruit, almond and subtle sherry sweetness emerge, adding depth while sea-air and salt lift the aroma. Rich, multi-layered and refined, it speaks of Islay’s maritime peat and a generous, balanced elegance.
Palate
Three-malt harmony on the palate: Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte and Octomore yield a sculpted peat core that mingles with coastal brine. Sherried dark fruit—plum, raisin, fig—joins vanilla, toffee and cocoa, carried by a creamy oak backbone. Peat stays bold yet refined, finishing smoky, sweet and long, inviting another contemplative sip.
Finish
Long, smoky and maritime, the finish lingers with peat-kissed sweetness. Sherry-softened fruit and dark chocolate unfold as coastal salt and spice fade, leaving a warm oak glow and a final whisper of smoke that slowly diminishes on the palate.
