Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper highlights and a mahogany edge, a warm chocolate-bronze glow that speaks to its richly sherried character.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma of dark, sun-dried fruits—prune, fig and raisin—framed by cherry and plum. Mocha, cacao nibs and treacle mingle with toasted almond and orange zest. Warm spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—linger with vanilla and a whisper of leather. A note of rancio and toasted oak adds depth, with a faint espresso edge signaling natural cask strength richness.
Palate
Full-bodied and luxuriant, the palate drenched in sherry: dark cherry, raisin and fig mingle with cocoa, toffee and roasted coffee. Spices—cinnamon and clove—and toasted oak weave through a warm, long finish that stays refined at natural cask strength.
Finish
An exceptionally long, warming finish unfolds with dusky dried fruit—figs and raisins—dark chocolate and orange zest, woven with cinnamon and clove, and finished by a soft, oaken toffee that lingers on the palate.
