Ben Wyvis (silent) Signatory Vintage Single Cask #687 Whisky 31 Year Old · 1968 Vintage
Out of stock
An ultra rare bottling of Ben Wyvvis distilled in 1968 and bottled as a 31 year old in 2000. This distillery was opened in 1965 and dismantled less than 12 years later which makes it probably the briefest lifespan of any distillery. There has only been a few casks of Ben Wyvis ever bottled and we think this edition is going to be one of the all time collectables in the future.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a honeyed glow.
Nose
Rich sherry aromas envelope the nose: dark fig, raisin and prune mingle with orange zest, burnt sugar and cocoa. Subtle espresso, leather and toasted spice ride atop seasoned oak, delivering a warm, old‐cask elegance that hints at the rarity and pedigree of this 1968 single cask.
Palate
Full, opulent flow of dried fruits—raisin, fig and date—amid rich sherry sweetness. Cocoa, espresso and roasted almond mingle with velvet oak, leather and a touch of tobacco. Cinnamon, clove and white pepper thread warmth through, while orange zest adds a bright lift. A luxurious, oil-rich mouthfeel coats the palate, fading to a long, warm, contemplative finish.
Finish
Very long, velvet finish. Dark cherry and fig weave with cocoa and a whisper of sherry rancio, deepened by toasted oak. Spices—clove and orange zest—drive a warm, elegant tail that lingers with refined sweetness, a touch of leather and coffee fading into a soft, persistent glow.
