Ben Wyvis (silent) The Final Resurrection Whisky 27 Year Old · 1972 Vintage
Out of stock
The final bottling from the three remaining casks owned by invergordon distillers from Ben Wyvis which ceased production in 1976. Ben Wyvis only distilled for 11 years and thus only a few bottlings of this malt were ever released which consequentially makes this one of the rarest scotch malts for collectors to obtain.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and rich mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aromas of dried plums, figs and raisins, brightened by orange zest and dark cherries. Layered with walnut and almond, hints of bittersweet chocolate and toffee, all wrapped in polished oak and a whisper of leather spice. Complex, elegant, and distinctly collectible.
Palate
Silky and generous on the palate, a core of fig and dried cherry, cloaked in sherry sweetness. Orange zest, cocoa nib, and toasted almond unfold, with spice—clove and cinnamon—drawn from polished oak. Velvety tannins pace a long, luxurious finish, leaving walnut, leather, and a resinous warmth lingering.
Finish
Long, contemplative finish that coats the palate with sherried fruit—prune, fig and raisin—woven with dark chocolate and toasted oak. Spices emerge softly—cinnamon, clove—before fading to a warm, velvety glow. A refined, nutty echo lingers, carried by a delicate smokiness and the memory of aged oak.
